MPO announces meeting on passenger transportation
The Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) announced it will host a public meeting to receive comments on the Passenger Transportation Plan (PTP) – Fiscal Year 2012 Update. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. on April 28 at the Urbandale Public Library, 3520 86th St.
The PTP is designed to promote joint, coordinated passenger transportation planning programs, and the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) requires an annual update.
The plan update reviews public input, documents planning efforts and reviews the status of previously recommended projects that will use DOT or Federal Transit Administration funding.
