National housing experts to speak in Des Moines on Friday
The Polk County Housing Trust Fund, a Des Moines-based nonprofit serving as a planning, funding and advocacy organization for affordable housing in Polk County, will host its annual Housing Matters Symposium tomorrow morning at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden. This year’s event features a keynote address by Jenny Schuetz, Brookings Institution Senior Fellow and author of “Fixer-Upper: How to Repair America’s Broken Housing Systems.” The event has reached capacity, but Polk County Housing Trust Fund will make video and other resources from the event available afterward on its website.
