The Iowa Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners has awarded its Hall of Fame Legacy Award to Miriam Erickson Brown, president and CEO of Anderson Erickson Dairy. She will receive the award Nov. 10 at the NAWBO Iowa Celebration of Excellence at Glen Oaks Country Club. Erickson Brown was named CEO in 2006. Her grandfather, Iver Erickson, started the business during the Great Depression. Two other women will be honored at the November awards luncheon. Mary Anne Kennedy, owner of Primary Source, will be recognized as Iowa Woman Business Owner of the Year, and Jayne Armstrong of the U.S. Small Business Association will be named Advocate of the Year.
