Neumann Brothers accepting applications for 2024 Heart Fund grants

116 wordsAll Latest News, Arts and CultureNeumann Brothers Inc., a Des Moines-based general contractor, is now accepting applications for its annual Neumann Heart Fund grant program. The employee-led charitable initiative will award $20,000 to Central Iowa nonprofits this coming October. Iowa nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax status and missions addressing homelessness, food insecurity and first-responder support are encouraged to apply. Applications are reviewed and scored by an internal committee of Neumann employees. “The Heart Fund is led by the ‘heart’ of our organization — our employees — and the issues prevalent in the communities we work in,” said Mike Simpson, president and CEO of Neumann, in a prepared statement. To apply, complete a brief online form on Neumann’s website. Applications are due Sept. 13.
