New iJAG CEO announced
Iowa Jobs for America’s Graduates (iJAG), a nonprofit connecting business and education, announced Wendy Mihm-Herold as the organization’s new president and CEO. She joined the organization on Jan. 23. Mihm-Herold has 32 years of experience in the public and private nonprofit sectors, including managing multiple million-dollar grants, major gift campaigns and staffing budgets ranging from $1.8 million to $50 million. She most recently worked for more than 10 years as vice president for business and community solutions at Northeast Iowa Community College. “The Executive Committee of the Board and I are thrilled that Wendy has agreed to join us as the next iJAG President/CEO. I truly feel that under Wendy’s leadership, iJAG will not only grow but it will become that premiere organization the iJAG staff, young people, Board of Directors, and I have dreamed of for 24 years,” Laurie Phelan, former iJAG president and CEO, said in a news release. “From our humble beginnings … to engaging key private businesses to help iJAG grow by matching state level investment, and now moving into our 2nd year of a growth plan that will have iJAG in 300+ locations statewide reaching over 15,000 young people annually is outstanding!”
