Prime & Providence will seat up to 190 guests in its restaurant, lounge and private dining room. The restaurant is expected to open by late spring. It will be open beginning at 3 p.m. daily.
A building permit for the project, valued at $1.9 million, was issued for tenant improvements for Prime & Providence last October, West Des Moines records show.
Iannarelli most recently served as executive chef and director of restaurants for Splash Seafood and Jethro’s BBQ. Iannarelli helped grow the company from one storefront to 10 restaurants with over 600 employees across Iowa, according to a news release.
For Prime & Providence, Iannarelli called on Georgia-based Grills by Demant to design a custom 15-foot hearth for the restaurant. Guests will be able to watch prime cuts of meats grilled to orders on the hearth, which is expected to be among the largest in Iowa. Also, Prime & Providence will source local produce from partners such as Grade A Gardens, Dogpatch Urban Gardens and Rinehart’s Family Farms.
The restaurant’s 6,900-square-foot space was designed by Dayton, Ohio-based the Idea Collective, a multi-disciplinary design firm that has worked on projects spanning from New York City to Malibu.
Prime & Providence is the second announced tenant of 595 Tower, a new, five-story, mixed-use building, whose master developer is Ankeny-based DRA Properties. CBRE Group Inc. recently moved into second floor office space in the building. Owner-occupied condominiums are planned on the third to fifth floors.
