Next discussion in Partnership’s Public Policy Forum Series announced

The Greater Des Moines Partnership is joining Capital Crossroads and Young Professionals Connection to host the next in its series of public policy forums on Tuesday, June 15. The next forum is focused on the topic of community placemaking. It is scheduled for noon and will be held virtually. Registration is free. Panelists will include Sally Dix, the executive director of Bravo Greater Des Moines, Tom Hadden, West Des Moines city manager, and Rachael Kinnick, president and CEO of the Grinnell Chamber of Commerce. Bethany Wilcoxon, senior adviser at McClure Engineering Co., will be the moderator. The forum on community placemaking will feature a discussion on the public-private partnership approach to the planning, design and management of public spaces in Iowa. The Public Policy Issue Forum Series is a bimonthly series being held throughout 2021 to explore issues affecting the Des Moines area. Future forums are scheduled for Aug. 17, Oct. 19 and Dec. 14, and will address affordable housing, justice reform, and inclusive economic development.
