Nonprofit serving Type 1 diabetes patients expands to Iowa

Blue Circle Health develops a personalized care plan for each participant, tailored to their needs, and offers multidisciplinary support over a six-month period. The nonprofit’s services are funded by the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust Foundation. Iowa is the 10th state Blue Circle has expanded to since its launch in January 2024. “We’re thrilled to extend our program into Iowa, where it’s difficult for people to access care due to a limited number of endocrinologists and large rural areas,” Leonard D’Avolio, CEO of Blue Circle Health, said in a prepared statement.
