NOTEBOOK: Easter Seals to Easterseals

Business Publications had the pleasure this month of hosting holiday carolers from Easterseals, as do many businesses and groups. We, being wordy people, noticed that the organization’s name had changed from two words to one.

We reached out to the director of marketing and communications, Jessica Brown, who handles such questions from curious journalists. She wrote: “This was a part of the national Easterseals rebranding. We adopted the new logo and brand standards this year. The new logo was inspired with the idea that Easterseals brings support — and hope and joy — into people’s lives — including a diverse community of volunteers, families and caregivers and that our work is infused with optimism — striving towards our full potential. The new logo projects a burst of sunshine, rays of hope, and the support of an entire community.”

Hope and joy certainly sound appropriate for this time of year, so we’ll share their logo and their name change.
