At the 2019 Prometheus Awards presented by LWBJ and the Technology Association of Iowa, Iowa Economic Development Authority and Iowa Finance Authority director Debi Durham took a moment to call out three Iowa legislators: Sen. Bill Dotzler, (D-Waterloo), Sen. Zach Nunn, (R-Bondurant,) and Rep.Gary Carlson, (R-Muscatine), whom Durham brought to the table on April 11.

“In a world where politics has become unfortunately so divisive, and political standoffs seem to be the norm of the day, what I’m here to tell you is that is not the case in Iowa,” said Durham, director of the Iowa Economic Development Authority and the Iowa Finance Authority. “It is our mission to create the right kind of environment where these companies can succeed. … I am proud that the state is playing its part in making that vision a reality, and so too are the many communities in Iowa that are going above and beyond to build Iowa’s innovation ecosystem.”
