Reporter Allison Pohle digs into the ways that airlines and hotels are trying to create more calm experiences from the stress that they know can come from traveling. It turns out more and more people are looking at vacation as rejuvenation of their mental health – so stressful traveling just won’t do anymore. The piece mentions meditation videos that Delta is providing on some of its flights, which I noticed during my own recent travels but just didn’t realize it was part of a larger push for travel companies to create wellness experiences. Other organizations in the piece even have “ joy ambassadors,” who are there to ensure that guests have ample opportunity to unwind.
