Olson moves into new VP role at Community Foundation after Bonney moves to Principal

She began her new role on April 10, after Sara Bonney moved to Principal Financial, where she is now serving as assistant director of communication for the company’s public relations team. In a message to the Business Record, Bonney said her first day with Principal was Monday. She worked at the Community Foundation for more than nine years, most recently as chief marketing officer. Before that, Bonney served as director of marketing and communications with the Community Foundation. Olson originally joined the foundation in 2017, left for a position in the city of Des Moines’ communication office, and returned to the foundation in 2020 as senior director of marketing and communications.
