Online Ashford students to converge
On Oct. 16, Clinton-based Ashford University will hold its first graduation ceremony exclusively for online students. More than 700 students, the majority of whom have never met one another face-to-face, will gather at 3 p.m. at 400 N. Bluff Blvd. According to the Sloan Consortium, online education enrollments now surpass traditional college enrollments by a 5-to-1 ratio. Ashford, which is 91 years old, offers accredited associate, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs.
