Ousted Iowa Public Health spokesperson says she was seen as too open with reporters

Polly Carver-Kimm said that also may be why she was removed in March from the department’s team responding to the coronavirus pandemic. Another spokesperson defended the department’s communications, saying it “has gone above and beyond to provide up-to-date and comprehensive information throughout the pandemic.”
