Over 90 students complete Career Ready Collective program

123 wordsAll Latest News, Economic Development, EducationThe Greater Des Moines Partnership celebrated the 94 high school students who participated in the inaugural Legacy Project: Career Ready Collective with a luncheon on July 26. The event featured keynote speaker Dan Houston, chairman, president and CEO of Principal. The primary objective of the Career Ready Collective is to introduce youth to a variety of professional skills through presentations from speakers and networking opportunities, a news release said. The curriculum and program were developed by the Partnership with support from the Robert D. and Billie Ray Center at Drake University. The program is funded by the Principal Charity Classic’s Legacy Project with support from Sammons Financial Group. In 2024 the Principal Charity Classic raised $88,580 to fund the Career Ready Collective, the release said.
