West Bank announced that Rosemary Parson has joined the boards of directors of West Bancorporation Inc. and West Bank. Parson is the senior vice president of policy administration and community relations of EquiTrust Life Insurance Co. As a charter member of EquiTrust, she established business structures and operational practices and has extensive experience as an executive leader in the financial services industry. Parson was inducted to the Iowa Insurance Hall of Fame in 2021. She served on the state of Iowa’s Technical and Commercialization Committee and several boards, including Children and Families of Iowa, the Des Moines Community Foundation, Pyramid Theatre and the YMCA of Greater Des Moines. She currently serves as a trustee of the Des Moines Art Center and actively mentors young adult students in the areas of financial literacy, banking, education and character. “We are proud to have Ms. Parson join our board,” said West Bank Chairman and CEO Dave Nelson. “Her experience with community relations and leadership in the financial services industry will be a strong asset to the bank.”
