Plow through these insurance tips before the snow flies
Before the weather outside gets frightful, there are steps your organization should take to prevent a lawsuit that’s so undelightful, according to insurance broker Holmes Murphy. First of all, make sure your business has a snowplow contract in place, that the contractor meets insurance requirements, and that a timing protocol is agreed upon before the fluffy flakes start to fall. “These steps can help address risk management and any insurance issues that could arise, specifically premises liability,” said RW Smith, a senior loss control consultant with Holmes Murphy.
