Polk County Supervisors approve $10M for airport terminal expansion
KCCI-TV: The Polk County Board of Supervisors voted to approve $10 million in funding over the next few years to help build an expansion of the Des Moines Airport terminal. The terminal expansion is estimated to cost $530 million. The cities of Des Moines, West Des Moines and Ankeny have already approved millions of dollars in funding for the terminal. The design of the new terminal is expected to begin this year, with construction starting in 2024.
