Marne Sirfus, a 13-year employee of Coldwell Banker Mid-America Group Realtors and Mid-America Group Ltd., has been named CEO of the West Des Moines-based commercial and residential real estate firm. In announcing the appointment, Jeff Braverman, board chair, said, “The board is confident in Marne’s leadership and abilities and looks forward to much future growth and success.” Sirfus most recently served as president of Mid-America Group Ltd. She has experience in accounting, finance, talent development and small business operations. The firm was founded by the late Marvin Pomerantz. A new board was named by the Pomerantz family in late November. After the new board assessed operations of the executive team, Robert Burns left as president of Coldwell Banker Mid-America Group. He had been with the firm since September 2015. A company spokeswoman said, “Leadership is assessing the need and exploring options” for a replacement.
