Prairie Meadows has awarded a $20,000 Community Betterment Grant to the Boys & Girls Club of Central Iowa to help fund the club’s Feeding the Future Program. Tony Timm, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Central Iowa, said the Feeding the Future Program helps members achieve the futures they deserve. “When our Club members suffer from nutrition deficiency, they have poorer mental health and overall health, increased school absences, increased behavioral problems, and they are less prepared to learn in school,” he said in a news release announcing the grant award. The $20,000 grant will allow the Boys & Girls Club of Central Iowa to provide nutritious meals every day to club members.
