Prairie Meadows recently awarded Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Iowa a $200,000 grant to help pay for construction of a second Ronald McDonald House inside the MercyOne Children’s Hospital. The new 14-bedroom facility is scheduled to open in December. The new facility will increase Ronald McDonald’s capacity by 40 percent. The facility helps parents with shelter and food as they care for an ill or injured child.
