Pre-deployment virtual meetings set for employers of Guard, Reserve members

168 wordsAll Latest News, Government Policy and LawIn preparation for upcoming military deployments that are scheduled for members of the Iowa National Guard and Reserve, the Iowa Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve will host several virtual Employer Center of Influence Update meetings over the next several months, beginning May 21. Employers can select one of the 45- to 60-minute meetings to get information about deployment schedules and soldier requirements, federal law pertaining to service members’ and employers’ rights, and how Iowa ESGR can help employers prepare for deployments and other types of Guard and Reserve duty. Registration for the May 21 session at 7:30 a.m. is here, and registration for the May 21 session at 11:30 a.m. is here. Additional sessions will be held at those two times on June 17, July 16 and Aug. 20.
