Principal receives 2011 Diversity Award

Principal Financial Group Inc. was named the 2011 Diversity Award winner by the Greater Des Moines Partnership during the Partnership’s annual dinner last night. It’s the third time that the company has received the award; it previously won in 2003 and 2006. Principal was selected based on its diversity initiatives, among them an employee resource group “boot camp” to foster collaboration among team leaders. “We’ve worked very hard over many decades to create a welcoming environment for all employees,” said Ralph Eucher, senior vice president of Human Resources and Corporate Services at Principal. “We’re proud that those efforts continue to pay off.”
