The couple, who live in Norwalk, had originally hoped to open Paws & Pints in 2020 but the outbreak of COVID slowed those plans.

But the project, which combines a bar for humans with animal services such as an indoor/outdoor dog park, a veterinary clinic, and grooming and boarding services, is now back on track.

Last week, groundbreaking ceremony was held for the project that will include a two-story, 29,800-square-foot facility that is expected to open in spring 2022.

“It’s a dream come true,” wrote Kyle Casey in an email. “It took four long years but we found a team of people that are just as excited about this as we are and that’s truly what makes Megan and I the happiest. It was obviously amazing to celebrate the milestone, but now it’s time to make all the dogs’ dreams come true.”
