Ray Center and Society for Human Resource Management partner to promote civility at work

Using events and resources, the two organizations set a goal of advancing one million civil conversations in the workplace by 2025, a press release said. “The new partnership between the Ray Center and SHRM is an embodiment of Drake University’s inspiration statement — together we transform lives and strengthen communities,” Drake University President Marty Martin said in a prepared statement. SHRM offers a civility starter kit to foster civil conversations. It includes a civility index to measure the impact of incivility, a five-step guide to civil conversations and conversation starters intended to encourage open conversation.
