108 wordsAll Latest News, Education, Women’s and Gender IssuesIowa State University Extension and Outreach in Polk County is hosting a workshop series called Annie’s Project, an agricultural business course for women in the industry. Registration is open through Feb. 1, with the first class on Feb. 6. The six-part course will teach effective decision-making strategies in financial, human resources, legal, marketing and production. Each session will cover a farming-related topic and include brief presentations and discussions with ag professionals, hands-on activities and resources available for farmers and their business. The classes are held Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 9 p.m. and include dinner. More information is available on this website or by contacting Wendy Wiggins at wwiggins@iastate.edu.
