Registration now open for Business of Art Conference

The Ames Community Arts Council and the Octagon Center for the Arts have opened registration for the Business of Art Conference scheduled for March 1-2 at Reiman Gardens in Ames. The conference is intended to strengthen artists’ business skills, as well as provide networking opportunities for creatives in the region. Topics will include art accessibility, community advocacy and sustainability. Jill Wells, best known for her artistic exploration of social issues, will headline the event. Participants can also opt for a photography workshop with Clark Colby for an additional fee. The two-day conference costs $100 for professionals, $50 for students and includes refreshments and lunch.
