The Greater Des Moines Partnership is encouraging local residents to support local business during National Small Business Week by taking the #DSMlocal Challenge. National Small Business Week is this week and runs through Friday. According to a news release, participants who take the challenge can post a photo to social media using the hashtag #DSMlocal. The challenge encourages residents to support local restaurants, businesses and attractions, including businesses that provide business-to-business professional development, consulting, printing, marketing, accounting and IT solutions, among others. Small businesses are encouraged to tag themselves on social media and share why their owners became a small business owner.
