Restaurant Week boosts business 30 percent

The 39 participating restaurants in the Greater Des Moines third annual Restaurant Week earned an estimated $125,000, an estimated 30 percent increase in business compared to a regular week, according to the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau. Restaurant Week, which ran from Aug. 20-29, is a promotion designed for area restaurants to serve a three-course dinner or lunch for two at a fixed price of $25.
