The Iowa Bankers Association recently presented Brad Davis with the James A. Leach Leadership Award at the IBA Annual Convention for significant, lifelong contributions to Iowa communities. Davis joined Hampton State Bank in 1980 and served as president and CEO from 1995 to 2012. He then served as chairman and CEO until his retirement in 2014. During that time, he was an active leader for the banking industry and held many leadership roles with the Iowa Bankers Association and its affiliates. In his community, Davis began an economic development program, Come Home to Franklin County, encouraging young families to return to Iowa and their hometowns. The IBA created the award in Congressman Leach’s name in 2000 following his term as chairman of the U.S. House Banking Committee.
