Former professional football player Lynn Swann is the scheduled keynote speaker for the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce annual dinner on March 11. The event, being conducted virtually, is scheduled for 5:30-7 p.m. Registration is open and can be completed at the Chamber’s website. Individual tickets are $25. An individual ticket with a meal provided by Big Al’s BBQ is $45. There is limited in-person seating available to sponsors and multiple pricing levels. Contact anna@wdmchamber.org for more information. Swann played wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1970s and early 80s, winning four Super Bowls with the team.
He was named MVP of Super Bowl X and was selected to three Pro Bowls. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001. He went on to work as a football and sports analyst for ABC. Last fall, Swann was named to the board of Athene Holding Ltd., the parent company of West Des Moines-based Athene USA.
