Rockwell Collins and Beijing Bluesky Aviation Technology today signed a final agreement to establish a joint venture in China, the companies said in a release. The company, ACCEL Flight Simulation Co. Ltd., will create a simulation and training center of excellence in China for commercial flight simulation and training solutions. ACCEL will utilize Rockwell Collins CORE Simulation Architecture technology and leading visual systems, and Bluesky’s expertise on Chinese commercial aircraft flight simulation training solutions and local service and support. The joint venture will be located at the Tianjin Airport Economic Area, a major hub for the aerospace industry in China, with a grand opening expected in May.
