Rockwell Collins sales rose 16 percent, earnings up 29 percent

Rockwell Collins, Inc.  today reported total sales for the first quarter of fiscal year 2015, which ended Dec. 31, of $1.23 billion, a 16 percent increase from the same period the year before. First-quarter earnings per share from continuing operations increased 29 percent,  to $1.26, compared with 98 cents in the prior year. Earnings per share for the first quarter of fiscal year 2015 included a benefit of 16 cents due to the retroactive extension of the federal research and development  tax credit.
