Ruan Transportation Management Systems has signed a deal to provide transportation and warehousing for the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division beginning April 15. “This partnership with Ruan will enable ABD to provide the highest level of service to our customers. With a trusted and capable partner, we will be able to focus on our core responsibility of governing the alcoholic beverages marketplace in Iowa,” said division Administrator Stephen Larson. The division enforces state laws and administrative rules related to the manufacture and sale of alcohol products. The state gets money from selling liquor to retailers, and from license fees, civic penalties and excise taxes. Ruan will serve over 1,500 locations and manage approximately 2,300 products. The company will hire 16 professional drivers and 30 warehouse staffers.
