Rural health association partners with Drake’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences

141 wordsAll Latest News, Health and Wellness, Nonprofits and PhilanthropyThe Iowa Rural Health Association (IRHA) is partnering with Drake University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences for enhanced management services. Under the collaboration, Drake’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences will assume the responsibility of providing management services to IRHA in an effort to enhance rural health care in Iowa and expand IRHA’s capacity to effectively serve rural communities, according to a news release. As part of the collaboration, Cassity Gutierrez, professor of health sciences at Drake, was appointed as the director of IRHA, and Erin Ulrich, associate professor of health sciences at Drake, will serve as the director of strategic growth and member engagement for IRHA. Students from Drake’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences will get the opportunity to participate in planning sessions and administrative activities while being able to interact with IRHA members and partners.
