The Salvation Army has opened a new Client Choice Clive Pantry at its coordination office in Clive, providing families with the opportunity to choose the items they need. The pantry will be open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to noon and 1-4:30 p.m. The Food Bank of Iowa and the Des Moines Area Religious Council have partnered with the Salvation Army to support the new Clive location. Tamyra Harrison of the Salvation Army of Des Moines expressed gratitude for the food and personal care items provided through the food bank and for the opportunity to offer nutrition and a welcoming shopping experience to neighbors in need. The pantry’s grand opening saw many clients waiting to receive services, with DMARC and Food Bank of Iowa team members and Major Butch Frost, Capital Area coordinator, in attendance.
