Sammons Financial Group has announced $175,000 in donations to 24 charities in the Des Moines metro as part of its Community Outreach Program, which allows employees to nominate and select local nonprofits for funding. The company hosted an open house event at its West Des Moines headquarters on Wednesday, where the selected charities, including Children and Family Urban Movement, the Greenfield Fire Department and Hope Ministries, received their donations.
