KCCI News: Sam’s Club is planning a new store in Ankeny, city documents show. The store would be located at 4625 S.E. Delaware Ave., which is just south of the Mills Fleet Farm store along Interstate 35. Plans for the store are expected to be discussed Tuesday at the Ankeny Planning and Zoning Commission meeting at 6:30 p.m. at Ankeny City Hall.  The site plan is expected to be approved. The store would be 134,550 square feet with 546 parking spaces and have a fuel station with six pumps. There is no word yet on when the store would be built. Sam’s already has two metro locations in Windsor Heights and in Ames.
