Schneider joins Iowa ABI leadership team

180 wordsAll Latest News, Economic Development, Key Leadership ChangesThe Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI) has named Meg Schneider vice president of strategic initiatives and member engagement. Schneider starts her new role today. Her work will focus on maximizing existing partnerships and creating opportunities for members statewide for both ABI and the workforce development and leadership programs of the ABI Foundation, a news release said. Schneider previously spent two decades at the Greater Des Moines Partnership, most recently as senior vice president for business resources and community development. “Meg’s experience with the Partnership, her understanding of nonprofit organizations and her engagement in the Central Iowa region will be instrumental to ABI’s continued success and vision for growth,” ABI President Mike Ralston said in a prepared statement. “Further, her experience with serving members and collaborating with many different stakeholders, and her appreciation and longtime support for Iowa’s business community makes her the right person to join our successful team.” She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa as well as Certified Association Executive and Institute for Organization Management certifications.
