In a claim filed Friday with the Iowa Civil Rights Commission, John Tyler, interim head of the county’s General Services Department, said County Administrator John Norris forced him out of his job because of his age. Tyler’s complaint is a required step before a discrimination lawsuit can be filed in district court. It follows a civil lawsuit filed last September by former county Human Resources Director Jim Nahas, who alleged he, too, was forced out of his job.
