Strategic America communications director Courtney Shaw has been named vice president of communications at the Greater Des Moines Partnership. She will serve as the main contact for media and help guide messaging and branding. At Strategic America, Shaw coordinated campaigns for the Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council as one of her major projects. She is board president for Healthy Birth Day & Count the Kicks, serves on the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute Curriculum Committee and is a member of the Public Relations Society of America. She has a master’s degree in mass communications and a bachelor’s degree in journalism and broadcasting with an emphasis on public relations from Oklahoma State University.
