The West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce will present Loretta Sieman with its West Des Moines Citizen of the Year Award in recognition of her long history of service to the community. Sieman, owner of LJS Consulting and former vice president of community relations with Business Publications Corp. Inc., served on the West Des Moines City Council for 16 years and has held various positions on the West Des Moines Community School District’s board of directors. She will be honored during a public reception from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on May 17 in the City Council’s chambers at 4200 Mills Civic Parkway.
