Average apartment rental rates dropped in five Des Moines metro-area communities in November, a RentCafe.com survey shows. Ankeny, Des Moines, Johnston, Urbandale and West Des Moines saw their average rental rates slip between 1% and 3.5% from October, depending on the community. Altoona, however, saw its average apartment rental rate increase to $966 in November, a 1.6% increase from October. To read the report, click here.
