Kim Reynolds announced Tuesday the second round of grants from the Teacher and Paraeducator Registered Apprenticeship (TPRA) Program. The $3.4 million in grants will support 11 K-12 schools in developing 68 new teacher and paraeducator apprentices, a news release said. Awarded districts demonstrated a high need for additional certified teachers based on the openings within their district. View the list of school districts receiving funds here. The TPRA Program launched in 2022 and has supported more than 1,000 apprentices at 124 school districts. “Registered apprenticeships are a perfect method to train the teachers of tomorrow with extensive, in-the-classroom experience — leading to graduates who are better prepared to succeed in their career from day one,” Reynolds said in a prepared statement.
