State Treasurer Michael Fitzgerald announced the appointment of Karen Austin as chief of staff for the State Treasurer’s Office. Austin has worked in the treasurer’s office since 1990 and was appointed deputy treasurer in 2003. In her new capacity, Austin will play an oversight role over all treasury operations and consumer programs. Fitzgerald also announced the appointment of Randi McLaughlin as deputy treasurer for the State Treasurer’s Office. McLaughlin started her treasury career in 1986 and most recently was an executive officer within the office. In her new role, McLaughlin will lead the internal treasury management functions, which includes cash management, finance and accounting.
