Sukup changes leadership lineup

Charles Sukup, who has led the firm for 25 years, will remain chairman of the board. Steve Sukup has been CFO and vice president of the ag giant known for its grain storage and other equipment, industry leadership and support of higher education. Charles Sukup said he was the first engineer with a college degree at the company, in his case from Iowa State University, where Sukup is a common name on university facilities the company supported. “Evidently Dad thought it would be cheaper to raise an engineer rather than hire one!” he said in a news release. The family-owned and -operated recently appointed John Lisle of Lisle Corp. in Clarinda, Drew Vogel of Diamond Vogel in Orange City and Eric Lohmeier of NCP Inc. in Des Moines to its board. A search for a new CFO in underway.
