Small businesses and community organizations are being asked to complete a survey to help create a better understanding of their challenges as they continue to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. The survey is a collaboration of Iowa State University Extension, partners of the Disaster Recovery Fund and the Greater Des Moines Partnership. The survey is geared toward businesses and nonprofits with 50 or fewer employers. It is open to businesses in Boone, Story, Marshall, Dallas, Polk, Jasper, Poweshiek, Adair, Madison, Warren and Marion counties. Organizers say the survey will help identify ways to improve economic stability and recovery from the pandemic. The results will be used to create a Regional Small Business and Organization Ecosystem Study. The deadline to complete the survey is Sunday, Aug. 15.
