Susan Knapp, pictured, retired marketing director for Knapp Properties and the current owner of Knapp Quarter Horse Farms in Van Meter, was recognized last week with the Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser Award. The award, among others, was presented by the Central Iowa Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals at its annual luncheon. Knapp, who attended Des Moines Area Community College and Drake University, has contributed to many organizations including the Iowa State Fair Blue Ribbon Foundation, Planned Parenthood, the Chrysalis Foundation and the Young Women’s Resource Center. Read more about Knapp’s honor.
