The data breach at Target Corp. was significantly broader than originally reported, with the company saying today that 70 million customers had information such as their name, address, telephone number and email address hacked, CNNMoney reported. The company previously had said 40 million shoppers had their credit and debit card information stolen in the weeks following Thanksgiving. The company lowered its outlook for fourth-quarter comparable sales revenue to a drop of 2 percent to 6 percent. It previously thought such sales would be unchanged from the year-earlier period, the Minneapolis StarTribune reported.
