Gretchen Tegeler, who has led the Taxpayers Association of Central Iowa since 2011, is leaving the group to work with the Iowa Health Care Collaborative. Tegeler submitted her resignation effective Sept. 1. “Gretchen has been a tireless advocate for the taxpayers of central Iowa far beyond her eight years of dedicated service and countless contributions to the association,” said Matt Wagner, chairman of the tax group’s board of directors. “Her leadership and vision have been integral to the impact our organization has had on the community.” Wagner has appointed a special committee to oversee the transition process.
